Open source Interface design

Bronto UI

CSS-first building blocks for developer tools, dashboards, and reports.

An interface system that gives different applications a consistent visual language without requiring another component runtime. It provides CSS tokens, semantic patterns, and optional behavior modules; the host application keeps ownership of data and logic.

Why it exists

Across services and tools, many interface problems repeat: navigation, tables, status, forms, and readable explanations of system behavior. Bronto UI turns those recurring decisions into a shared foundation.

HTML remains HTML, the styling is ordinary CSS, and JavaScript is opt-in where interaction needs it.

How it works

Bronto UI is organized around design tokens, a class vocabulary, and small framework-agnostic behavior modules. It supports application interfaces and extends into analytical presentation, provenance, and print-oriented layouts.

It ships with zero runtime dependencies and has CI-tested examples and visual regression fixtures. The project remains under active development.
